New 5 ha greenhouse complex launched in Volgograd

LLC Ovoschevod (producing under the brand name Botanika), have launched a new greenhouse complex with the acreage of 5 ha for transplant seedlings growing. The general director of the enterprise, Mr. Yuriy Sudarev has reported about the fact.

“The company have finished the construction of the specialized greenhouse for seedlings growing. The acreage of the new high tech seedlings block is almost twice as big as that of the existing one. The investments in the project reached 11 million euro”, noted Mr. Sudarev.

He mentioned that the new seedlings complex is allocated for the year round vegetable seedlings growing. The production capacity is planned at 1 to 1.5 million pieces per circle.

The block is equipped with most contemporary equipment enabling productivity enhancement. All the main processes have been automated to the maximum. Presence of several zones with different regulated climates is undoubtedly the advantage of the new greenhouse as it allows growing several crops at a time.

According to Mr. Sudarev, the application of contemporary technologies and accumulated experience would contribute in arranging highly profitable production.

It was announced earlier that LLC Ovoschevod had launched a new greenhouse complex for tomato growing with the acreage of 27 ha. The overall cost of the investment project exceeded 66.5 million euro. As the result of the investment project completion, the overall company greenhouse acreage comprises 63.6 ha and the vegetable production has reached 50 thousand tons a year. The company are planning another greenhouse complex construction with the same acreage.

LLC Ovoschevod is a major vegetable producer in Russian Federation, specializing in cucumbers and tomatoes. The company was created in 2004 on the bases of the collective farm, bearing the same name. In 2019, the profit of Ovoschevod increased by 12.86% compared to 2018.
