British farmers grow pumpkin that weighs 1.1 ton

A British farmer in Hampshire took a picture with his 2-year old granddaughter Martha Syrett, and their enormous pumpkin. The 59-year old twin brothers Stuart and Ian Patton spent nearly 6 hours every day on this huge pumpkin. The pumpkin currently weighs 1,198 kg and is expected to set a new world record.

The twins explained that the pumpkin exceed 1 ton after only 87 days. The circumference is around 6.04 meters. These two farmers already hold the record for largest pumpkin grown in the United Kingdom. Last year they produced a no. 2436 pumpkin that weighed 1,104.95 kg.
