Intelligent agricultural park under construction in the west of China

Chongqing Shugu Farm is the rural cultural revitalization base of the Liangping District. It covers an area of over 26.6 hectares and is designed and constructed by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Beijing Zhonghuan Yida Facilities Horticulture Technology Company. The facility applies big data and artificial intelligence to agricultural production and management. It is a comprehensive modern agricultural park integrating modern agricultural production, modern agricultural technology demonstration, application and training, agricultural science education and agricultural sightseeing, and aims to build a first-class smart agricultural park in the west of China.

Lu Changkun, chairman of Shugu Farm, said that the farm relies on the use of the most advanced agricultural Internet of Things, big data, cloud platforms, Israeli water and fertilizer integrated irrigation technology, Dutch modern greenhouse planting technology, cutting-edge planting models from international and domestic markets, leading agriculture into the era of smart farming. With a total investment of 85 million RMB [12 million USD] in the first phase, 5 high-end smart greenhouses have been built, covering a total of 35,000 m2, with an estimated annual output value of 20 million RMB [3 million USD] and an annual reception of 200,000 tourists. Through demonstration and guidance, it can drive the construction of three vegetable bases with around 1000 hectares each in Yunlong, Qushui, and Jindai, and increase the income of 11,000 farmers.
