Revol Greens announced the expansion of its Minnesota greenhouse from two to 10 acres. This is now the largest greenhouse in the U.S. dedicated to baby leaf lettuce. In addition, Revol Greens has appointed a new CEO, Mark Schulze, along with seven new senior team members who bring robust produce-industry experience to the company. This new talent will support the expansion in Minnesota and forthcoming California location – a 64-acre greenhouse in Tehachapi.

In Minnesota, Revol Greens greenhouse expansion will quadruple year-round growing capacity. With this growth, the company is rolling out several new products over the coming months. Additionally, it will allow delivery of products into new markets, further meeting customer demand.
In California, the conversion has begun on the former Sun Select Produce greenhouse, transitioning it to Revol Greens lettuces from a tomato and pepper facility. Phase one of construction includes converting the first 16 acres and incorporating Revol’s advanced greenhouse technology. Leveraging a sustainable and controlled growing environment that is both energy efficient and uses 90% less water than traditionally grown greens, this is a unique offering in the region.
Revol Greens welcomes the following leadership team members:
- Mark Schulze, CEO, holds more than 30 years of food and agriculture expertise, with the majority of his career spent at Cargill holding a variety of leadership roles both nationally and globally. With a breadth of category experience managing multiple locations and supply chain activities, Mark’s background also includes significant experience in agricultural commodity investments and managing risk in capital markets. As CEO of Revol Greens, Mark is focused on continuing to grow the footprint of the business, delivering on the ‘5 facilities in 5 years’ initiative as well as building a culture around innovation.
- Tom Thompson, Vice President of Market Strategy, previously advised clients across the produce industry from growers and shippers to seed breeders and processors on business strategy, marketing and business development. As he started his career with Target Corporation and at Robinson Fresh, with diverse experience with leading retailers and foodservice companies, Tom has a deep perspective on the transition to controlled environment agriculture.
