Several Spanish horticultural farms report coronavirus outbreaks

Spanish fruit and vegetable farms have not escaped the wave of coronavirus outbreaks after the end of the state of alarm was declared in the country.

In Aragon, already four regions have gone back to phase 2 of the de-escalation, after contagion outbreaks were reported by horticultural companies. The Bajo Aragón-Caspe region of the province of Zaragoza has been the latest one to do so (La Litera, Cinca Medio and Bajo Cinca are the other three) after 78 people have been reported to be infected so far; a figure that will likely increase, given the massive testing.

In Lleida, there are also 42 people in isolation at the Hotel Rambla, most of them temporary workers. 7 of them have already tested positive for COVID-19. The 24 people infected in the farm La Manreana de Juneda are also temporary workers and 2 of them are in lockdown at the Seròs hostel.
