New South African operating facility for Futura Sa Plasmatec

Futura SA and Plasmatec have recently moved their operating facility to Units 7, 8 and 9 Watershed Park Square Street in Stikland, Cape Town, South Africa.

"Plasmatec Engineering was established in 2017 in Cape Town and deals mainly with systems to process fresh produce as well as lines for poultry, the fishing industry and industrial electrical automation," explains Futura owner Omar Papi.

Plasmatec Engineering is a young company but its personnel boasts extensive experience in the fresh produce sector. In addition to manufacturing all peripheral machines for Futura graders locally - feeding lines, packaging units and all the electrical parts - it also provides installation and after-sales services to all South African clients.

"Over the past few months, Plasmatec further extended its production capacity adding a sheet metal cutting and laser bending system for our machines."

"Our South African 'sister' Futura Sa was established in 2018 and, together with Plasmatec, deals with the marketing of Futura graders. Our team works with clients directly to study the perfect solution, install it and provide after-sales service."

"All peripheral machines are manufactured in our facility in Cape Town according to the highest quality standards. So far, all grades have come directly from our Italian facility."

In 2021, Futura will start producing Logika lateral-discharge graders on site so as to allow clients to source Futura graders entirely made in South Africa, boasting the highest quality standard yet a competitive price as there will be no import duties. Central-discharge graders will continue to be manufactured in Italy.
