It seems the agricultural industry is finally getting the recognition it really deserves. Farmers are keeping the nation fed in the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now is the time to recognise the individuals and organisations that promote innovation in the sector. The British farming awards 2020 has several categories for innovation, including Agri-Tech innovator, Arable innovator, Digital innovator and Machinery innovator.
Last year Will Wells, CEO of CHAP member Hummingbird Technologies, won the Gold Award for Agri-Tech Innovator of the Year.
The awards are now open for entries and nominations. Go to BFA 2020 Awards to submit your nomination/entry before 11.55pm on Friday 26th June.
The initial plan was to hold the awards ceremony at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, bringing more than 700 farmers and industry professionals together to celebrate innovation and achievement across the industry.
However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Awards this year are set to go ahead with a brand new virtual format designed to continue the emphasis on celebrating the fantastic individuals who make the farming industry and its community so unique.
