Due to the Corona outbreak also delays are expected in the production of diffused glass. "Until the middle of February, we tried to recover production", says Alice Yi, the exporting manager of Shandong Glass Tech.
Shandong Glass Tech is an internationally operating glass supplying company. They recently did projects in Canada and Korea, in Canada the project involved 4.5 hectares of greenhouse, where 4 mm thick low iron diffusing AR coating was applied, and in Korea 3.2 hectares of that same glass were delivered.
Yet nowadays and due to the Corona outbreak, the production is interrupted and delays are to be expected. "Until the middle of February, we tried to recover production", says Alice.
The company arranged a bus to pick up the employees, and most of the office staff was also working in the production plant, because of the lack of workers. Until March 20, most of the orders were delivered on time. All the customers faced serious situations. "We sent masks to our customers. As a company, we are a family and a team. We need to work together to combat the impact of the epidemic on the emerging economy. We hope that everyone can return to normal life and work as soon as possible", says Alice.
For now they thank their customers for being so understanding. "At the earliest stage of the corona crisis, they were all sending emails and messages, greeting us and ensuring us that any delays were no problem. For us this is the best relationship. The customers trust SGT, and we try our best to finish all the orders", says Alice. "We've recovered our production at the beginning of April. We're receiving new orders, the team will try their best to satisfy all the customers' needs."
