Hines abc westland will expand the business park by 5.5 hectares in 2020 and 2021. In recent years abc westland has purchased various greenhouses. Now that the access road to this expansion area is ready, the area is being prepared for sale.
"It brings hope to see that these kinds of developments continue in the fresh produce industry during these times of the corona crisis. We are aware that this is not matter of course. This creates space for future growth, literally and figuratively," says Herwi Rijsdijk, director of abc westland.
The expansion area is located to the north of the existing business park. Part of the 5.5 hectares has already been purchased by S. van Holstein transport and container rental. They will settle with five thousand square meters on the new part of the business park.
The remaining five hectares will be delivered in parts with ten thousand square meters this year and the other lots in mid-2021. With this expansion, abc westland will grow to an area of more than 60 hectares. abc westland houses more than 100 companies active in the agricultural and food sector.
