Florette has announced the construction of a new production center in the municipality of Tortosa, in Tarragona. With this new plant, the seventh in Spain, the Navarrese company, which is specialized in the production of fresh and ready-to-eat vegetables, will increase its capacity to offer "a product with the highest quality and freshness to its clients and consumers in the region."
As explained by the company, this new production center will be based on the industry 4.0. concept and will aim for greater efficiency in the use of resources and adaptation to the demand.
Sustainability "will play a very important role". Work will be done with renewable energies, with a model of water recovery and with energy efficiency based on self-consumption. Also, the Ebro Delta is one of the main horticultural areas, so the Navarrese company is considering the future development of local agricultural crops.
Florette's new production center in Tarragona joins those already in operation in Navarre, Cuenca, Toledo, Murcia and Gran Canaria. Thanks to these centers, located in different rural areas, and the fields spread out across various parts of the Peninsula and the Canary Islands, Florette's products only need 24 hours to go from field to fork.
