He is selling his second greenhouse in Bleiswijk to be able to focus on the red bell pepper cultivation in the main location of Boeters Kwekerij and his company Dr. Veggie, which makes vegetable juices.
The founding of Dr. Veggie
Jeroen took over the company from his parents in 2014 and acquired a second location in 2015. At this location, he started growing red bell peppers. The cultivation of red bell peppers was such a success he decided to also grow red bell peppers on the main location instead of orange bell peppers. Due to quality problems with orange bell peppers in 2018, Jeroen got the idea to develop healthy, low-calorie and tasty vegetable juices. The founding of Dr. Veggie was a fact.
Vegetables from a bottle
Since last week, he started producing bell peppers again, and the vegetable juice business is doing well. "In winter, in between the cultivation cycles, I have time to focus on Dr. Veggie, and now I am combining both. That is going fine. Dr. Veggie is now making 12 different vegetable juices with at least 5 different fresh ingredients such as parsnip, spinach, red beet, lettuce and of course red, yellow and orange bell pepper. Our bottles contain at least 250 grams of fresh vegetables."
Two hectare greenhouse
For the greenhouse, which is for sale, interested parties have already come forward. It consists of more than 2 hectares, 21,150 square meters of greenhouse to be precise, including commercial space of around 795 meters and a house. Spring weather
In expectation of a buyer, Jeroen is hoping for spring weather. "It is about time. Good for the cultivation, Dr. Veggie and also for the people. People have had their fill of rain and wind and want to exercise, work in the garden and on their health. The juices of Dr. Veggie can help to get in shape again. Think about detoxing.
