Spain imported 198.2 million kilos of tomatoes in 2019

According to data from the Estacom statistical service (Icex-Tax Agency) prepared by Hortoinfo, Spain imported a total of 198.2 million kilos of tomatoes worth 152.65 million Euro in 2019, with an average price of € 0.77 / kg

The country selling the most tomatoes to Spain has been Morocco, with a volume totaling 68.34 million kilos, for which Spain has paid 64.95 million Euro; an average price of € 0.95 / kg.

The second largest tomato supplier in 2019 has been Portugal, with 67.8 million kilos worth 35.58 million Euro and an average price of € 0.525 / kg.

The Netherlands ranks third with 33.98 million kilos, for which Dutch exporters charged 30.32 million Euro, with an average price of € 0.892 / kg.

The fourth place was for Belgium, which supplied 10.82 million kilos of tomatoes worth 8.7 million Euro, with an average of € 0.8 / kg.

Spain's fifth largest tomato supplier was France, with a volume of 10.09 million kilos worth 7.17 million Euro and an average price of € 0.711 / kg.
