Consumer demand for more sustainable packaging with a more responsible, ecological footprint continues to rise.
Skillpack is cooperating with its suppliers to meet this demand and has introduced the new cardboard stretch machine: the ICE.
With the ICE, Skillpack, thanks to an innovative system that adapts to the size of the product, automatically packs products such as apples, kiwis, tomatoes, potatoes and grapes with different sizes in a cardboard sleeve, which is provided with foil on top, at a speed of up to 70 packages per minute. The packaging is then closed at the bottom or side, guaranteeing the stability and safety of the product.
The simple design, the high degree of accessibility, flexibility and the simple, transparent layout make the ICE cardboard stretch machine from Skillpack a unique machine. Depending on the product and the wishes of the customer, the machine can be expanded with both a horizontal and vertical packaging system.
The size of a cardboard package can vary from a minimum of 70 mm (L) x 70 mm (W) to a maximum of 400 mm (L) x 300 mm (W).
The height of a cardboard package can vary from a minimum of 30 mm to a maximum of 300 mm. With a speed of up to 70 packages per minute.
