Taking advantage of market opportunities in Turkey

Turkey exported € 450 million in the first quarter of 2019. The Mediterranean Fresh Fruits & Vegetables Exporters' Association (AKIB) has announced the value of total exports for the first quarter of 2019. Turkish fresh produce exports amounted to € 452.9 million.

Turkey is the largest tomato export country to Ukraine. In the first three quarters of 2019, Ukraine imported 58.6 thousand tonnes of tomatoes. This is 22% more than in the same period last year. What is striking is that in the first nine months of this year the import figures already exceeded the total from 2018. In 2018, Ukraine imported 55.4 thousand tomatoes worth $ 37.2 million. The main supplier of tomatoes to the Ukrainian market is, as usual, Turkey, which accounts for more than 80% of total tomato imports.

That is why the Turkish market is so important for Gakon. Gakon will present itself to current and new investors, growers and companies during the Growtech 2019. The Growtech 2019 will take place in the Turkish resort of Antalya from 27 to 30 November.

From Wednesday 27 to Saturday 30 November, investors, growers and companies can gain knowledge, information and inspiration at the Growtech 2019. This annual trade fair in Antalya offers visitors the opportunity to talk to Gakon sales managers.

The Growtech 2019 is a very interesting platform for Gakon to present itself, because with more than 850 exhibitors from more than 30 countries, the Growtech 2019 can be seen as one of the largest fairs in the field of greenhouse horticulture. It is expected that more than 90,000 professional visitors from no less than 130 countries will be present during the exhibition.
