The Greenery and Plant Sciences

American raspberry varieties gets selected by European customers

The Greenery is reaping the rewards of its collaboration with Plant Sciences. In partnership with the American breeder, The Greenery has introduced a new raspberry variety, the Nobility, to the European market. This fruit is tastier, slightly larger, and firmer. This fits in nicely with consumers' wishes.

Exclusive taste varieties
The Greenery signed an agreement with Plant Sciences at the beginning of the year. Plant Sciences is based in California. Together, these two companies have exclusive access to new, tasty varieties of soft fruit.

These will be used to distinguish The Greenery and Plant Sciences from the conventional, mass-produced soft fruit market. The selection of these kinds of fruit is not limited to taste and shelf life. Easy of picking and supply patterns are also taken into consideration. These factors offer a good return for growers.

Carefully selected for Sweet and Sunny
The Nobility variety was extensively tested last year and is now available. These raspberries are being cultivated by four of The Greenery's growers. This soft fruit variety is available in September and October. The product has excellent flavor profiles. This is why it was selected for Sweet and Sunny. Sweet and Sunny is The Greenery's premium soft fruit label.
