Vegetable greenhouses are flooded due to heavy rainstorms brought by typhoon Lekima in Jitai Town of Shouguang, east of China's Shandong Province. The city of Shouguang, China's major vegetable production base, suffered from the largest rainfall since the meteorological record started in 1959. Floodwater inundated 18,000 vegetable greenhouses in Shouguang and damaged 8,667 hectares of crops. Some 93,000 people from riverside villages were evacuated.
