"The favorable position of our company enables us to obtain prestigious productions - the proximity to the sea, breezy summers and mild winters create excellent natural conditions to grow produce," explain brothers Giuseppe and Silvio Benedetto, production managers for the family business located in Cava D'Aliga (RG).

Crops cover 2.5 hectares and, except for 20%, everything is under greenhouses. The company grows mainly small tomatoes such as cherry and plum tomatoes with two cycles (a long winter and a short summer one) producing 500 tons in total. "We are also looking to introduce colored varieties next year."
Despite the bad weather that characterized the past campaign, the season has not been bad. Our extensive experience and dedication to plant needs lead to good results. If, to this, we add a correct agronomic management, then it is clear how good practices lead to good results, unlike techniques based on empirical systems or approximation.

"Our greenhouse crops are entirely soil-less, so we manage to avoid soil diseases. In addition, thanks to fertigation, we need to use very little crop protection products and do not waste water."
"This year, plants have been affected by Tuta absoluta, which is annoying, but we are managing the situation well."
"We recently performed a few tests with colored tomatoes as our commercial partner has been requesting them. As of the next cycle, we will introduce colored varieties systematically and dedicate considerable surfaces to their cultivation."
"Our open-field round eggplants are also doing well, as they are rather appreciated by our trader, so we could expand the cultivated area. In the near future, we are aiming at expanding our cultivated surfaces and upgrading the few facilities that are slightly dated."
