Summer supper club coming to Instagram

Village Farms is teaming up with My Diary of Us to provide a place where folks can come together and discuss recipes and other cooking ideas. Called the Summer Supper Club, it will initially show how to cook two dishes.

Here’s how the Supper Club works - people come together over on Instagram when My Diary of Us goes live and the two recipes will be cooked up in real time. viewers have the chance to cook them right along with the demonstrator or you just hang out for the conversations. This round the company is chatting summer grilling and entertaining including tips.

“We had a lot of positive feedback and honest conversation during the spring supper club gatherings which focused on easy to prepare kid-friendly meals,” said Helen L. Aquino, Director Brand Marketing & Communications for Village Farms. “This round we are going a little more adult, exploring the tastes of Asia and Italy with a summer twist. These new tantalizing recipes will feature Village Farms Luscious Seedless Long English® cucumber and our exclusive Cherry No. 9 Fall in Love Again® tomatoes.”

The shopping list can be downloaded ahead of time from My Diary of Us, so viewers can do their grocery shopping ahead of time and then join in on Instagram live July 16 and 18. No RSVP required but don’t forget to bring your favorite drink of choice and a healthy appetite, the company said!
