Afghanistan: Construction of two greenhouses begins in Balkh’s Naher Shahi

The foundation stone of two greenhouses was laid in the Naher Shahi district of the Balkh province (Afghanistan).

Mohammad Salem Sahe, provincial agriculture director, said that the construction of the greenhouses, costing over one million AFN [12,000 USD], will be completed and utilized in one month.

The greenhouses will be built by the Climate Change Adoption Project (CCAP) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (MAIL) on 306 square meters of land, with a water reservoir.

The aim of these greenhouses is to increase production capacity and reduce water consumption.
