Bagioni asparagus harvesters now feature lithium batteries. The news had already been announced months ago regarding new machines, but the company has recently introduced batteries that adapt to all existing machinery.
An example of lithium battery
"When it comes to new machines, we have already launched high-voltage lithium batteries lasting 30% longer, but they are applied only to the latest models. Now we have designed new batteries suitable for all machines."
Compared to usual lead batteries, lithium ones are lighter (10 kg compared to 45). They last around 10 years (11 thousand charges) against the two years of the traditional ones. In addition, no maintenance is needed.
"The fact that there is no maintenance makes them really convenient. They do not need to be kept charging when they are not operating and they do not require additional fluid. In addition, they charge up in just 2 hours compared to the 8 hours of traditional batteries. The higher initial cost is widely rewarded by all these positive aspects."
These new lithium batteries are suitable for machines operating at 24 volt. "Our previous machines with lead batteries can also be upgraded, as do machines from other manufacturers. The package also includes a dedicated charger."
