Pöppelmann TEKU extends BP series

New young and nursery plant trays

The BP series from Pöppelmann TEKU is ideally suited for professional young plant cultivation as well as the requirements of nurseries. The trays promote fast growth and healthy plants and have excellent machinability. The commercial horticulture specialist will present three new versions of the popular young and nursery plant trays.

BP 3153/60 T: Perfect for automated processes
The BP 3153/60 T tray, in Danish dimensions of 310 x 530 mm with a volume of 76 ml, is suitable for plugs of heights up to 48 mm. Each layer can accommodate four trays with 60 cells each for a total of 240 plants. This is equivalent to 365 plants/m2. Stacking notches maintain the desired distance between trays and allow for automated de-stacking. Transportation notches, to which the profile bottom of the tray attaches, allow for safe transport. At the same time, you protect the plugs from buckling as the profile cannot push into the cells. The sides of the trays are fitted with root guide ribs and air ducts. Their profile bottom is ideally designed for watering and drainage. The trays are equipped with label slots for stick tags.

BP 2854/72: Optimal use of space
The BP 2854/72, which has a volume of 59 ml, can accommodate 476 plants/m2, thus saving space. Each layer contains four trays, therefore a total of 288 plants. The trays have a brim height of 21 mm, thus offering plenty of space for printing and attaching adhesive labels or RFID tags. The young and nursery plant trays are fitted with 5 mm high stacking feet as well as stacking notches to maintain the desired distance between trays and are also suitable for automated processes. Ventilation holes allow for optimal air circulation.

BP 3153/28: Rounded bottom for easy removal of plants
The BP 3153/28 trays in Danish dimensions of 310 x 530 mm with a volume of 98 ml stand out thanks to the strong conical form of the cells, with an angle of 12°. Each layer contains four trays each with 28 cells for a total of 112 plants per layer, or 170 plants/m2. The rounded bottom of the trays (ECO-shape) prevents the plants from becoming stuck. This allows them to be removed more easily. Ventilation holes allow for optimal air circulation. The grooves on the bottom also allow for excellent ventilation as well as good watering and drainage. The young and nursery plant trays are fitted with brim notches and protrusions which ensure optimal de-stacking. Stacking notches to maintain the desired distance between trays also allow for automated de-stacking.
