Remote application of insecticide in greenhouses becoming more popular in Turkey

The Turkish Ministry of Agriculture Agricultural Research and Policies General Directorate (TAGEM) has developed a remote automatic insecticide dispenser machine to be used in greenhouses in order to minimize the overuse of chemicals and to reduce the exposure of agricultural workers to these chemicals.

According to the statement released by the Ministry, the overuse of chemicals harms both the products and the employees working in greenhouses. The first prototype of the product is already produced and tested. The results of the test have demonstrated the success of the machine in achieving both aforementioned goals.
