Todis launches plastic-free packaging

With the "A tutto sapore" range, supermarket chain Todis announces the start of a plastic-free project for an eco-friendlier future.

"A tutto sapore" includes 9 products - cherries, cherry tomatoes, plum tomatoes, marinda tomatoes, yellow peaches, nectarine peaches, Saturn peaches, Italia grapes and melons - packaged in cardboard boxes with open slits.

Todis chose to actively contribute to the reduction of plastic packaging, thus giving a strong signal also within the retail world.

Currently, 90% of products are still placed in plastic packaging and 95% of waste in the Mediterranean is made up of plastic (source: WWF).

"A tutto sapore" is a brand for produce that is flavorful and pleasing. A vast range of products selected and harvested in full respect of seasonality. All packaging solutions are made of cardboard for greater environmental sustainability and have an innovative design.

"A tutto sapore" will be available in Todis stores as of June 2019. Todis reports how this is the first step towards a cleaner future to safeguard our planet and the next generations. There currently is no area on the planet without a trace of plastic. Even the smallest piece of plastic dropped on the street can remain on our planet longer than us.
