Polish horticulture giant will build new greenhouse in Mazovia

Citronex Group will invest 60 million euros in Ryczywół, Mazovia (Poland). The company wants to build a modern greenhouse in Europe on 20 hectares of land.

Local municipality officials are praising the new investment. On May 28, town hall held a meeting between the mayor of Kozienice and the director of Citronex Group, Artur Toronowski, about the investment plans of the firm in the region.

“We informed the public about the first meeting with the investors interested in the land in Ryczywół already at the beginning of the year. Currently, the firm is starting concrete and demonstrable works. I’m very happy about it. For the township and its inhabitants, this completely new investor on the Kozienice market could be a development impulse for other enterprises and investments. The firm has declared the possibility of future investments and is vocal about the need for employing workers during production, as well as construction of the complex. There is progress,” the mayor said about the meeting.

Citronex is a prominent producer in the horticulture industry. In Ryczywół, the company is planning to build one of the most state-of-the-art greenhouses in Europe by the end of 2020. The organic tomato farm will take up 20 hectares of land and cost around 60 million euros. The adopted time schedule is very ambitious - production is due to begin already in September next year. Local officials are glad to welcome 250 jobs in the municipality.

The horticulture tycoon is already the owner of the land in Ryczywół. The investor is finishing compiling the necessary documentation and will soon apply for the required construction permits.
