The Produce Nerd has launched an online PrimusGFS Version 3 Training. The company said this online training is garnered towards auditees that are:
- In need of a full PrimusGFS refresher
- New to the PrimusGFS audit scheme
- Need to improve their food safety programs
- Looking to learn and make changes to their food safety programs as they progress through the training
By having this training in an online format, it allows participants to progress through the training at their own pace, from the comforts of their office, while altering their food safety documentation as they go.
In addition to a step-by-step guide to the audit, the training also includes an internal audit checklist and a private support group, which allows participants to interact with the instructor (Megan Crivelli), as well as the rest of the course participants, with questions related to the course and to food safety in general.
The course was created by Megan Crivelli, who runs The Produce Nerd website, and helped Azzule Systems update the PrimusGFS audit to version 3. “I wanted to make a course that would provide the most value to the auditee, which included making it a go-at-your-own pace course so that they could work on the course and their food safety programs as time permits, while updating their documentation as they go. Also, this results in no additional travel time or costs for the auditee.” And for every new revision that is released for PrimusGFS version 3, the course will be updated to address those changes, Crivelli added. The course is currently updated to reflect the scheduled changes for PrimusGFS version 3.1.
