Boosting yield by improving seeds

Incotec is showing a number of new products and technologies at the World Seed Congress 2019. Amongst these are yield-boosting technologies for field crops and vegetables and a range of organic seed enhancing solutions. The underlying theme in all Incotec’s innovations is sustainability. The ISF takes place in The Nice Acropolis, Nice on 3-5 June.

Film coats for field crops
Getting the utmost out of seed is what Incotec’s products are designed for. Incotec’s film coat Disco AG Red L-432 for Corn, for example, helps to maximise the uptake of nutrients in the soil by increasing the mass of the seedling’s fine root hair. This film coating is designed explicitly to provide the right conditions for maximal yield potential and increased crop quality.

Disco AG Clear L-650 delivers top performance for a wide range of crops. The specifically developed properties increase seed flowability and allow excellent and fast drydown. With no tacking or clumping taking place in the equipment, coating processes run efficiently without delays and interruptions.

Mission zero
And there's more news to share. Incotec has chosen the Seed Congress of the International Seed Federation to introduce its new theme: Mission Zero. In stand number 605-606, Incotec explains the commitment to making the company more sustainable. Incotec’s seed enhancement and coating technologies already contribute to more sustainable agriculture by enabling a reduction in the use of crop protection products of up to 90%. Included in the strategic direction of Mission Zero are new initiatives such as developing alternatives to replace microplastics in coatings, substantially extending the range of organic products, working on techniques for the successful application of biologicals and scoping the possibilities for biodegradable coatings. The ISF congress takes place in Nice, France on 3-5 June.

Erik Jan Bartels, Incotec’s Managing Director: “The critical issues of global food security and sustainability affect us all. Mission Zero underlines our commitment to the role we play as seed enhancer in helping our customers achieve their goals.”

Organic products for vegetable seeds
Incotec always looks for the most sustainable solutions to help customers achieve their goals. For that reason, Incotec is developing a growing organic product portfolio that includes a range of Disco film coat products and other organic seed solutions such as pelleting and priming.
