New planning after delay

EU plans to fight ToBRFV will be discussed on 17-18 June

The discussion of the draft proposal and the risk analysis of ToBRFV are again on the agenda at the European Commission on 17 and 18 June. Discussion at the May 23 meeting recently was postponed.

There is currently no EU draft proposal for the combat of ToBRFV. The European Commission is working on this. It is still too early to say anything about the content of the proposal, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality said when asked.

Earlier this month it appeared that the presentation of the EU plans to combat ToBRFV in tomato and pepper was postponed on 23 May. The European member states have now drawn up a new schedule in the Plant Health Committee and will discuss the ToBRFV issue in Brussels on 17 and 18 June.
