Growers in Batman (Turkey) are trying to recover from the damages sustained recently from a heavy storm and tornado. A storm with speeds of 80 km / h destroyed the majority of the greenhouses in the Balpinar district near the city, which is located near the southeastern border of Turkey. In total, 50 greenhouses were damaged, and the total damage to greenhouses is around 550,000 USD.
The growers were just preparing to harvest tomatoes and green pepper from their greenhouses as the tornado struck. All the growers are still in the process of assessing the damage, and they are looking to the state for support in rebuilding their greenhouses.
