PlantResponse announces addition of Product Development Director

PlantResponse has announced the recent hiring of Dr. Patrick Doyle to its growing North American team. Doyle will lead as the Product Development Director and will work from the PlantResponse Biotech U.S. headquarters in Research Triangle Park.

PlantResponse Biotech has secured approximately $8.5 million to date in initial Series-B funding to build out commercialization and retail partnerships. In his role, Doyle will work with the research and development team to bring leading product candidates to commercialization. He will oversee product formulation, packaging, pricing and logistics. Prior to joining PlantResponse, Doyle previously worked for the Syngenta organization for almost 25 years. Most recently, he served as Head of R&D Quality/Stewardship.

“Patrick has a long and wide-ranging history in the agriculture industry, with experience in research and development, business development, scientific advisory, regulatory management and project management roles,” says Tom Snipes, PlantResponse CEO. “He will make a wonderful addition to the technology-focused PlantResponse team in bringing our products from the lab to the field.”

A recent expansion into North America has allowed PlantResponse to bring agricultural technology products for plant health, stress mitigation and nutrient management to new markets and industry partners. Doyle will focus heavily on North America but also drive a global strategy including Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South America.

Doyle has a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Guelph in Canada and a Master of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan. He grew up on a family farm and still has family farming in Canada today.
