Exactly one year ago, Gerhard Gilbers placed his signature on a contract. He took over part of the company belonging to Wim and Willemien Delisse. The name of the company is now W.D. Products Trade. It's all about tomato hooks and string.
Gerhard: "I fully support this. Our hooks have a special shape. The shape improves the strength. The grower is of course not served by sagging hooks. If the hooks sag too far, the crop will drop to the ground. That should not happen. So a lot of thought has gone into determining the shape of the hook. But I can say that the current shape of the hook has proven itself. The hook does not slide away on the crop thread. The kink in the middle of the hook provides that extra strength."
Faster hanging of hooks
The hooks are offered with the Quick-hook cardboard. Attached to one piece of cardboard are 20 -36 hooks. The cardboard is held at hanging height, so that the hooks can be hung one after the other at one time. That saves time, and therefore money. By the way, this system is suitable for both left and right-handed people.
Multiple colors and lengths on one card are possible. W.D. Products Trade also offers a high wire hook with clip. This hook is wrapped with a bridge for the free fall length. This is handy for intermediate plants. These hooks will only be unwound later; only when it is needed.
