The Guernsey Fire & Rescue Service attended a fire at Rue des Pointes, St Andrew's on Sunday.

“At 19:50, The Joint Emergency Services Control Centre received a total of six 999 calls reporting a large structure fire in the area of Rue Des Pointes, St Andrew.

"Guernsey Fire & Rescue were dispatched immediately and arrived on scene at 20:00 with a total of nine personnel. The fire was all out by 22:20 with firefighters remaining on scene until 23:10. Rue Des Pointes was closed for just over 2 hours.

"The cause for the fire is unknown at this time but Guernsey Fire & Rescue have cordoned off a large area of the site due to structural damage to the greenhouse itself."
