Grodan sees an increase in logistic and production costs

Grodan, part of the Rockwool Group, announces a price increase.

"In recent period the economic growth peaked and has been accompanied by an increasing global inflation. As a result, we experience increased costs on top of the experienced cost increases of previous year. In particular, in logistics and production, the price increases were extreme", the company reports in a news release.

Hub Janssen, Managing Director Grodan: “It is our objective to deliver the greatest value for money and to avoid fluctuations in prices as much as possible. We continuously implement process and business efficiencies to offset experienced price increases without sacrificing our quality and service standards, we have now reached a point where we need to adjust our price seriously to compensate for the incurred increases. As a result, we will have to negotiate a price increase with our customers.”

"At the same time, we will ensure to remain a sustainable supplier to our customers in supplying the best in class growing media solutions. Meanwhile, we will strive towards a stable pricing policy, in which large fluctuations of prices are avoided as much as possible", the release further states.
