Russian holding Eco-cultura began construction of a 300 million Euro greenhouse complex in Surkhandarya.

Eco-cultura began construction in Uzbekistan

In the view of the major project, the Russian company in close cooperation with the Uznbekozikovkatholding have carried out a complex of research, marketing, engineering and organizational activities.

The above have allowed for the creation and implementation of a highly productive complex adapted to the local conditions and capable for growing products corresponding to the most demanding requirements of the foreign markets.

The business plan of the project presupposes productivity in the amount of 320-350 tons of tomatoes per hectare a year. In reality, the Russian company are planning to reach the productivity level of 400 tons and exceed it in order to establish direct product shipment to the major Russian trade chains. The overall project budget is estimated at the level of 300 million Euro.

Within the first phase that is planned to be completed in the current year, 50 ha of contemporary high tech greenhouses will be launched and engineering, transport and technological basis for further development should be created. It is planned to launch the first phase not later than August 2019. ASP Asia company is acting as a general subcontractor within this project.

The amount of direct investments in the first phase is planned at the level of 50 million USD. In all, the project presupposes the launch of 3.2 million square meter of greenhouses on the acreage of over 300 ha within the coming 3 years.

Qualified associates is one of the key factors for future success. Thus, Eco-cultura production center in Stavropol region have worked out a special introduction training program for future employees. In order to train the associates for the pilot project, a recruitment campaign has been carried over for a couple of weeks.
