Due to the exponential global demand for water-cooled LED Grow Lights, Oreon has strengthened its team with three new employees.
Wouter Staats has been hired as the new Sales Manager Europe. Being an agronomist, Wouter has years of experience with the cultivation of a variety of crops under LED lighting in greenhouses and in closed cultivation systems. Because of his background, Wouter can help growers improve their cultivation performance and produce a better quality product. “In order to guarantee the lifespan and efficiency of the LED lights, water-cooling is a must, and in this area, Oreon leads the way. For me this was the deciding factor to come work for Oreon”, Wouter said.
The R&D department is joined by Bernard Hulshof as the new Chief Innovation Officer. His company, SolarWorks! (http://www.solar-works.co.za/) provides leading ‘Pay-As-You-Go’ (PAYG) Solar Home Systems and other solar energy services in the south of Africa. Given his background as an industrial designer, he will work on developing new products and the improvement of the current product portfolio of Oreon. Bernard: “I think it is an amazing opportunity to work at Oreon because I think energy management in greenhouses is an important factor on our way to a more sustainable future”.
Fraukje van Breukelen will join the marketing team. “Thanks to her experience in off- and online marketing you will be seeing and hearing a lot more from Oreon than you are used to this year”, the marketing team comments.
