"Our company is located in Donnalucata, in south-east Sicily, an area that boasts the highest number of sunlight hours a year in Italy."
This is what reported by Giuseppe Arrabito, administrator of a cooperative covering 35 hectares of greenhouses and open fields. One of the main strengths of this company is that it manages to complete the entire process - processing, sale and transport.
"Over the past few years, production has been at the service of commercial needs, thus straying from tradition especially when it comes to flavor. The need emerged of combining yields with the organoleptic qualities of a tomato with an extraordinary flavor."
"I am talking about Eletta from TSI ITALIA, which we sell under our Picciriddu brand, a term that means small in Sicilian. Tomatoes are in fact small, deep red and very tasty. I am proud to stress that Eletta was born in this company with the help of TSI Italia technicians."

With this variety, the cooperative aimed at returning to the origins of Sicilian cherry tomatoes and to their flavor, which had been lost due to commercial logistics based on long shelf-life.
"All our crops are soil-less. This way, we manage to rationalize our resources and keep all the elements that may harm our health under control. Our products respect the Sicilian agricultural tradition, of course with a modern and technological touch, and we are committed to keeping perchlorate and nickel levels low."

"Our produce is available on the best European markets: London is the emblem with its many restaurants. But our sales are good elsewhere as well, Italy included."
After all, in addition to certifications such as IFS, GlobalGAP and GRASP, international retailers have started requesting a few expedients we have been using for some time now even without the need for written rules.
