The Minister of Agriculture of Iran said that 3000 hectares of greenhouses were created in the country, which can be deemed as a record.
According to the information center of the Ministry of Agriculture-Jihad, IRNA, Mahmoud Hojjati, at a ceremony of initiating the 17-hectare greenhouse construction project, in Boueen Zahra, from Qazvin province, has added that there are 15000 hectares of greenhouses in the country, 3000 hectares of which, i.e. 20% of it, have been executed in 2018, and are in use now.
The Minister of Agriculture-Jihad, considering the positive impact of the greenhouse sector in employment, added that greenhouse products have a good export market, with many customers in the Persian Gulf countries.
He also stated that the government is specifically supporting the development of greenhouses, and also mentioned that good and inexpensive facilities are available to farmers in this area.
