HUERCASA and ANECOOP, leading Spanish companies in the agro-food sector, have decided to go a step further in their joint work. Huercasa, a specialist in processed plant products, based in Sanchonuño, Segovia, is contributing to the development of the Express Slow Food concept, which the cooperative Anecoop launched recently through its subsidiary Janus Fruit SL with the aim of creating and promoting a new product category.
We are talking about a line of 100% vegetable convenience products, with no additives or preservatives, as well as gluten free. They are made in a slow and traditional way (Slow) to guarantee the preservation of the flavor and all nutrients, but can be consumed immediately (Express), making them ideal for today's consumers.
Huercasa will add its most innovative products to this new concept, mainly its OntheGo vegetable salads. In the international market, it will go hand in hand with Janus Fruit, fully participating in the development of the Easy by Bouquet brand, which Anecoop is promoting in the European market within the Express Slow Food category, and under which it already sells vegetable soups, spreads, salads and fruit desserts or healthy snacks.
In the domestic market, the work with Anecoop will be extended to the joint management of the Express Slow Food points of sale. It will also contribute to improving communication with the consumer about the new concept and help in product promotions at the points of sale.
Anecoop and Huercasa have once again participated at Fruit Logistica, the sector's most important fair at European level, which was held in Berlin from February 6 to 8. It was in this framework that the agreement for the joint development of the Express Slow Food concept was finalized. Both entities had been working on this for the past few months.
