Italy: Event showcases 'future of farming'

The FarmTech Society (FTS) is an international non-profit association that unites and supports the Controlled Environment Agriculture industry, strengthening the indoor growing sector. The FTS partners with the Vertical Farm Institute in Vienna (VFI) which is developing and implementing a new building typology for the multifunctional vertical farm. Together the FTS and VFI support the industry by combining FTS' initiatives in education, standardization, and policy advocacy with VFI’s strengths in research, design and planning for urban architecture.

You can join the FarmTech Society Pavilion at NovelFarm / Aquafarm where round table talks will be held at the café bar. This trade show and conference combines presentations covering innovative farming methods and systems and will discuss how controlled environment agriculture can become more circular. Combined this will make the case for efficiently and locally grown healthy food as part of a sustainable ecosystem.

NovelFarm bridges Northern and Mediterranean Europe by demonstrating solutions for a resilient supply of healthy and efficient food. Next to a trade show, the event also showcases a high-quality selection of presentations at the attached conference. Participating FTS members who will exhibit in the pavilion include the AMI’s farm lab, INTag, Würth Electronics, Urban Crop Solutions, and PlantHive.
