Vegetables in southern China are entering the market in large quantities; with little snowfall in the north, greenhouse vegetables are growing well, and there are a lot of stocks in the north from last autumn, which has led to some changes in the vegetable market from previous years. For example, the current winter storage cabbage has entered the market and is experiencing a difficult period. “Our company can sell all kinds of fresh vegetables such as cabbage, white radish, carrot, celery, broccoli and various quick-frozen vegetables all the year round. There are too many enterprises supplying cabbage products. The planting area is large. The southern production is large and so is the inventory in the north. This has caused the current price to be very low," said Li Chunmei of Tangshan Shengchuan Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. 
Low prices did not only appear in the Chinese market, but also in foreign markets. Li Chunmei mentioned: “We export to Russia and other Southeast Asian countries, where the prices are also very low, and the local vegetable growing area has also increased. However, I estimate the price of Chinese cabbage will get better after the Spring Festival, and it will rise a little more. 
“In addition to cabbage, we also export carrots. Compared to the cabbage market, the sales performance of the carrot market is much better. The price of carrots is relatively high, because at present, the supply of carrots is not very large in China. So we have a good sales location. In addition to the varieties mentioned above, we also have a variety of mushrooms available."
This year, Tangshan Shengchuan Agricultural Products will go to Berlin for the Fruit Logistica to further expand the export market. “Before, we mainly focused on supplying Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea and the Middle East.
