Agricultural company Vyborzhets, located in the Leningrad region, is striving to become the biggest eggplant producer in the northwest of Russia. They have started up a project to build a new eggplant production facility. The project presupposes the construction of a contemporary automated complex with an acreage of about 5 ha.
The decision on construction of the new complex has been commented on by Mr. Oleg Malaschenko, the deputy head of the Leningrad region government. According to him, the decision on production expansion was taken after the producer achieved the highest productivity in the country in greenhouse eggplants. They achieved a stable result of 50 kg per square meter.
A few weeks ago the agricultural company Vyborzhets launched the second phase of a greenhouse complex for lettuce and greenery growing.
