Once again Advanced Berry Breeding has brought out a new raspberry variety: Sarafina. This variety is seen as a nice addition to the previously introduced varieties Wengi, Shani and Rafiki. This is also confirmed by the extensive tests that have been carried out in Spain, Tanzania and Mexico and other countries.
Sarafina produces large raspberries with a light, orange-red raspberry color. They have a good taste, are firm and also remarkably easy to pick. In addition, they have an excellent shelf life and are transportable. The fruits also retain their light color during storage. The plants have a lot of growth vigor and are easy to cultivate.
Sarafina is not only suitable for cultivation in temperate climates, but also tolerates high temperatures. This makes the variety also suitable for cultivation in the Mediterranean and dry tropical growing areas.
