With the aim of building an international stage for Shanghai's agriculture industry, the Shanghai Facilities and Agricultural Equipment Association (SFAEA) will bring its members to participate in the 2nd Horti China held at the Shanghai National Exhibition & Convention Center on November 21-23. The total exhibition area of 2018 Horti China is around 27,000 square meters. It is expected that more than 400 companies will participate in this exhibition, including country pavilions from the Netherlands, Italy, France, Japan and so on. The show connects the world with China, an international event for growing, harvesting and preservation technologies.
In 2016, Shanghai's foreign agricultural investment flow was 726 million US dollars. The accumulated foreign agricultural investment stock was 2.665 billion US dollars over the years.
The conditions for Shanghai agricultural enterprises to go abroad and introduce are unique. To stand out in overseas, Shanghai agricultural enterprises are not only implementing mergers and acquisitions tactics, but aiming at the entire industrial chain, forming the entire chain from the field to production and processing to import and export trade, creating an “overseas + domestic” industrial platform and exploring new business models.
The introduction of technology has driven the transformation and upgrading of high-tech. In São Paulo, Brazil, there is a 5,000 square meter intelligent greenhouse rose garden. The “Made in China” label on every greenhouse is the best proof of the introduction, digestion and re-export of greenhouse technology in China's facilities industry. These intelligent greenhouses are all from Shanghai Dushi Green Engineering Co., Ltd. Another Shanghai company, Shanghai Irrist Co., Ltd., successfully won the bid for the supply of intelligent irrigation equipment in the modern facility agriculture project in Egypt in July 2017. The total amount is 138 million RMB, involving a full set of intelligent irrigation systems in tens of thousands of acres of greenhouses.
The two companies mentioned above are both members of the SFAEA.
SFAEA hopes to build an international platform for members. It is hoped that the global horticultural industry will see the quality of “Made in Shanghai” through its booth’s display. SFAEA also wishes visitors to see the status of Shanghai's facility agriculture and development trends. SFAEA will build a joint pavilion with members with a total area of 96 square meters at Horti China, booth number 2HF018-2HG022.
