India: Arunachal oranges go global

The first consignment of oranges from Arunachal took off last Tuesday from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, heading for Dubai. So now horticultural fruits from Arunachal Pradesh have entered the international market, under the auspices of the Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and active intervention of the state department of Horticulture.

The small 1 tonne shipment of fruit originates from the orchards of grower Todol Pertin in the Lower Dibang Valley district, reported the Arunachal Times.
