France: Three tons of drugs seized in lettuce transport

Last week, when French police did a vehicle search at a motorway toll station, they found three tons of cannabis with a street value of six million euros in a lorry transporting lettuce.

According to RFI France, a consignment of cannabis resin was seized, and more than 200 kilos of marijuana leaves were also hidden among the crates of lettuce.

Two persons were detained in a police station in the French Basque city of Bayonne.
