Trinidad & Tobago: $10K donated for aquaponics unit at special school

On Friday 17 November, a 6-Pipe Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) Aquaponics Unit was installed at the New Beginnings Special School in Petit Valley.

The Digicel Foundation donated TT$10,000.00 to assist with the start-up costs of purchasing fingerlings, seedlings, and feed for the system.

The Aquaponics Programme which began in 2014 and has been implemented in 17 Special Needs Schools throughout Trinidad and Tobago, will be used as part of the holistic education for the 28 students at New Beginnings.
