China: Consequences of the typhoon for Guandong

This year China faced a big typhoon #13 named Hato. It caused massive destruction of property and seriously damaged crops. When the typhoon started, the vegetable market of Guangzhou had been very stable, the prices didn't change. As the wind became stronger, it made prices increase possible.

This time the consequences are truly severe. Typhoon Hato was quickly followed by typhoon Pakhar. Heavy rains and storm winds affected all of the most important vegetable production areas. A huge part of the vegetables that should have been sold on the markets during the autumn has suffered damaged. Guangdong vegetable production now needs external support. However, if other production areas produce enough vegetables, the prices shouldn't rise significantly.
