Turkish investor starts organic fertiliser production in Zambia

A Turkish investor has started producing organic fertiliser to make farming more productive and profitable for farmers in the country.

Organic Agriculture Development Zambia Limited is using natural materials readily available in Zambia for the production of organic fertiliser for smallholder and commercial farmers to enhance crop production and make farming profitable.

Company managing director Kursat Kayhan said the company will be producing 100 tonnes per month initially.

The company anticipates increasing fertiliser production towards the rainy season so that many farmers can access his fertiliser.
