CAN (BC): Tantalus Labs receives ACMPR cultivation licence

B.C.-based medical cannabis producer, Tantalus Labs, has received its licence to cultivate medical marijuana, issued by Health Canada under the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR). The acquisition of this licence marks a significant landmark for the company. They will begin cultivation in their high-efficiency facility SunLab, in the coming weeks.

SunLab's purpose-built, specialized greenhouses utilize sunlight for the plant's primary photosynthetic input, rather than artificial lighting. This reduces electricity demand by up to 90 per cent, compared to historical illicit-market practices. Designing and building the first cannabis-tailored greenhouse of its kind in North America, Tantalus Labs is committed to developing environmentally sustainable best practices for cannabis cultivation.
