12-year-old with tomato business now teaching other kids

A 12-year-old boy who successfully launched a business as a child is now passing his entrepreneurial knowledge on to other kids in his community.

Parker Metz says he got the idea for his tomato-growing business after his mother accidentally grew too many plants. She was planning to throw them away, but he decided to go door-to-door selling them.

His mother, Abby Metz, told CTV Lethbridge that she “honestly really didn’t think he was going to have much luck.”

To her surprise, Parker sold them all, and The Tomato Wagon was born. In addition to going door-to-door, Parker sells tomatoes at farmers’ markets.
