Abu Dhabi women taught to grow cucumbers and tomatoes at home

Over 60 women from Abu Dhabi Women's College, and a number of their professors, took part in a workshop organized by the ADFSC Communication Section in cooperation with the Technical Services Division on the basics of home farming for 3 days. The workshop is encourage owners of private gardens to grow crops such as cucumbers and tomatoes at home.

The interactive series of event aims to spread the importance of agriculture amongst students, increase their knowledge of home farming, and teach the skills required to take care of a home garden capable of supplying their own families with delicious vegetables.

The workshop was hosted by Extension Engineers Khawla Al Marzouqi, Fatima Al Kaabi and Ohoud Al Masjidi.

The attendees were actively involved in the workshop and the students had presented a lot of questions about farming methods and the importance of home care garden.
